Profile

Community Involvement

EBA has a strong corporate commitment of giving back to the local communities in which our employees work, live, and play. For more than 30 years, our company and employees have contributed thousands of dollars and volunteer hours. We’ve participated in charity initiatives with organizations such as the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, House of Ruth, and the Believe in Tomorrow Foundation. Highlights of these activities include:

Christmas in April, Prince George’s County: Sponsored by community and civic associations, businesses, and churches across Prince George’s County, Christmas in April rehabilitates the homes of elderly and disabled home owners so they may live in warmth, safety, and independence. Since 1989, roughly 80,000 volunteers have completed an estimated $40.4 million in repairs for 2,336 homeowners. All work is performed at no cost to the homeowner.

Tony Prestandrea Memorial Golf Tournament: All proceeds from this tournament go to the Rues Center of Georgetown Lombardi Cancer Center in memory of Tony. The funding supports research, clinical trials identifying new therapies, and raising awareness about pancreatic cancer.

House of Ruth Foundation: The House of Ruth Maryland is one of the nation’s leading domestic violence centers, helping thousands of battered women and their children find safety and security. EBA participates in the House of Ruth’s Adopt a Family program, which provides Christmas gifts for mothers to give to their children while at the shelter.

Believe in Tomorrow Foundation: This foundation provides exceptional hospital and respite services to critically ill children and their families. EBA participates in the “Port to Fort 6k” with all proceeds going to the Foundation.
