Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery Expansion

For the Maryland Department of General Services, EBA designed the Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery expansion.

The key to the project’s success was EBA’s seamless coordination with multiple government agencies, including the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, and Maryland Department of the Environment.

EBA provided a wide array of services—all conforming to the standards of the National Cemetery Administration—including topographic surveys, subsurface investigations, construction documents, demolition of existing structures, design of grading, pump station improvements, new irrigation installation, and columbarium layout.

To keep the project on track, EBA conducted biweekly progress meetings; reviewed all submittals, change orders, and pay applications; and performed substantial and final completion inspections.
