First Street Bridge Replacement

EBA performed bridge inspection and evaluation, load rating, and an alternative analysis of bridge SSB-18, a short span bridge on First Street. This analysis determined deterioration and necessary repairs or replacement.

EBA designed a new prestressed concrete slab bridge supported by reinforced concrete abutments founded on drilled shafts with rock sockets. This project also included roadway narrowing for traffic calming and on-street parking modifications, addition of a new sidewalk along one side of the roadway, utility relocations, tree removal and plantings, and temporary traffic control plans.
