Mark Serio Rejoins EBA Engineering as Assistant Vice President

Mark Serio, PG, has rejoined EBA as an assistant vice president based in the firm’s Laurel, Maryland, headquarters. In this new role, Serio will manage EBA’s water systems and civil/site engineering departments and help grow the firm’s business throughout Maryland.

“I am thrilled to have Mark back with us to help oversee departmental operations, provide mentorship, maintain our commitment to quality services, and expand our client base in water systems and civil/site engineering,” said EBA President and CEO Rizwan Siddiqi, PE. “His technical knowledge and outstanding career achievements align perfectly with his new role, and I am confident in his abilities to help EBA attain even greater success.”

A licensed professional geologist, Serio has more than two decades of experience in the engineering industry, providing program management, business development, and corporate strategy leadership. He previously served as the environmental division manager for EBA.

In his most recent role as chief of the water/wastewater operations and maintenance division for the Maryland Environmental Service (MES), he managed operations/maintenance and regulatory permit compliance for 250 of the state’s water and wastewater treatment plants.

Serio holds a master’s degree in environmental planning and a bachelor’s degree in earth science, both from Towson University. His background also includes 21 years of military service, from which he retired as a senior military manager of aircraft systems.
