New Germany State Park Improvements

EBA provided civil engineering and survey services for these $1.2 million improvements at New Germany State Park in Garrett County. The project included designs to renovate a 4,000-square-foot recreation hall and two pavilions, demolish the existing and construct a new 600-square-foot comfort station, and stabilize and restore the beach area at the park’s swimming lake.

EBA prepared comprehensive site and sediment control plans, which included developing the site layout, coordinating with regulatory agencies (DNR and MDE), performing drainage and site analyses, and preparing schematic through bid-ready construction documents for site grading, drainage, parking lot with ADA access, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control. Beach improvements involved extensive site work to reconfigure drainage patterns and enhance site accessibility.
