George Gardner, PE, PMP, CMC, CSSBB, has joined EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA) as operations manager for the firm’s construction management and inspection (CMI) practice in Virginia. In this role, he will manage EBA’s Virginia contracts and lead efforts to expand the firm’s services and partnerships throughout the state.

Gardner has more than 35 years of experience spanning both the public and private sectors, including more than two decades with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). In his most recent role as Program Manager in VDOT’s Operations Division, he led a multidisciplinary team focused on operations planning, performance metrics, and corridor improvement initiatives for major interstates, including I-81, I-95, and I-64.

“George brings extensive experience in transportation operations and program management in Virginia,” said Rizwan Siddiqi, PE, F.ACEC, President and CEO. “His familiarity with statewide initiatives and agency processes will support our continued work and growth in the region.”

Gardner earned a master’s degree in systems engineering from Virginia Tech, a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Virginia State University, and an associate’s degree in drafting and design from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. He is a licensed professional engineer in Virginia and holds several professional certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Management Consultant (CMC), and Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB).

In his new role, Gardner will work closely with EBA’s multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions that enhance mobility and infrastructure resilience across Virginia. As part of a certified DBE and SWaM firm, he will also support agencies and prime consultants in meeting meaningful participation goals while advancing critical infrastructure projects.
