EBA is pleased to announce the promotion of Brett Deane, CCM, from assistant vice president to vice president and officer of the firm. Brett will also lead EBA’s newly established Construction Services Group, which encompasses construction management and inspection, materials testing, and geotechnical laboratory services.

“Brett’s extensive experience and deep understanding of the Maryland transportation industry make him the perfect fit to lead our new Construction Services Group,” said EBA President and CEO Rizwan Siddiqi, PE. “His commitment to excellence and innovative approach will drive our projects forward and deliver exceptional services for our clients.”

Brett joined EBA in 2022 and has been instrumental in advancing the company’s construction services and implementing safe practices for field operations. Before joining EBA, he served as an engineer for 15 years at the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA). Most recently, he held the position of Assistant District Engineer for Construction, where he was responsible for managing all MDOT SHA construction projects in District 1. In this role, Brett oversaw a team of engineers, technicians, and administrative personnel to ensure the safe and timely construction of projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Brett holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is a Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
