EBA Engineering Promotes Brett Deane to CMI Department Manager
EBA is pleased to announce the promotion of Brett Deane, CCM, to assistant vice president and construction management and inspection (CMI) department manager. Deane joined EBA in 2022 and was previously a senior construction manager.
“Brett will apply his considerable Maryland transportation industry knowledge and experience to lead our CMI staff, projects, and initiatives,” said EBA President and CEO Rizwan Siddiqi, PE. “His stellar performance is an asset to EBA and our clients.”
Before joining EBA, Deane served as an engineer for 15 years at the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA). Most recently, as assistant district engineer for construction, Deane was responsible for managing all MDOT SHA construction projects in District 1. He managed a staff of engineers, technicians, and administrative personnel to ensure the safe and timely construction of hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of projects.
While with MDOT SHA, Deane’s project management experience also included the MD 97 at Randolph Road interchange, MD 2 at MD 423 safety and spot improvements, and MD 295 Riverview and Baltimore Highlands noise barrier.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is a Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
