Joel Resh, PE, has joined EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA) as assistant vice president and transportation engineering department manager. Resh is based in EBA’s Laurel, Maryland, headquarters and will be responsible for overseeing transportation engineering services, as well as managing client relations and business development.

“We’re excited to see Joel apply his transportation industry experience to help grow our business and serve our clients,” said EBA President and CEO Rizwan Siddiqi, PE.

Before joining EBA, Resh served as an engineer for 16 years at the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA). Most recently, as assistant district engineer, Resh managed and directed all operational matters for the project development section of District 6.  His area of responsibility included the engineering systems team, utilities section, access permits, and District Liaison for Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) projects.

While with MDOT SHA, Resh also managed projects that included interstate resurfacing and drainage repairs, sidewalk/bicycle compatibility upgrades, Park and Ride installations, and intersection/roadway widening improvements.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from West Virginia University and an MBA from Frostburg State University and is working towards his master’s in real estate development from the University of Arizona.
