Prakas Karattukudy Joins EBA Engineering as a Senior Project Manager

Prakas Karattukudy, PE, PMP, has joined EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA) as a senior project manager in the firm’s transportation engineering department. Karattukudy is based in EBA’s Laurel, Maryland, headquarters and will be responsible for managing transportation design projects, client relations, and business development.

“We are very excited to welcome Prakas to the EBA family. He brings our team wide-ranging experience in highway and transportation facility design, and he has managed major transportation projects in the DC metro area,” said EBA President and CEO Rizwan Siddiqi, PE.

Karattukudy has more than 30 years of experience in highway design, transportation planning, and design-build of major transportation facilities.

He has previously served as the lead transportation engineer on the $6 billion Transform 66 Outside the Beltway project in Virginia, the $5.6 billion Maryland Purple Line project, and the $160 million Virginia Avenue Tunnel Reconstruction project in Washington, DC.

His experience in Washington, DC, has also involved reconstruction of busy, urban streets for the District Department of Transportation (DDOT), including Second Street Northeast, Q Street Northwest, Eastern Avenue Northeast, East Capitol Street Northeast, Benning Road Northeast/Starburst Intersection, and 11th Street Northwest.

Karattukudy is a licensed professional engineer in Maryland and Virginia and a certified project management professional (PMP). He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University in India.
