It’s Math Storytelling Day!

September 25 is Math Storytelling Day! Sure, you may not be aware of this math-loving day or its origins. But EBA embraced the opportunity to celebrate the M in STEM and appreciate the many ways that math enhances our lives and profession!
You might celebrate with a classic math puzzle, like Hilbert’s Hotel Infinity or the Monty Hall Problem.
Or you could try your hand at some math jokes. A quick web search will yield many puns, one-liners, and witticisms, from corny to comical. Here’s a nice seasonal joke:
Q: What do you get if you divide the circumference of a jack-o-lantern by its diameter?
A: Pumpkin Pi!
Or you could get the kids involved with a math game or activity, like a math scavenger hunt. We would love to know how you choose to celebrate!
