Andrew Smart Promoted to Department Manager
geographIT, a division of EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA), is pleased to announce the promotion of Andrew Smart, GISP, to geospatial technologies and asset management department manager. Smart joined EBA in 2005 and is an associate of the firm.
“Andrew’s outstanding track record with client relationship management, business development, project management, innovation, and technical consulting will ensure the continued growth and recognition of geographIT as a geospatial technology innovator,” said EBA President and CEO Rizwan Siddiqi, PE.
Smart has spent his 14-year career dedicated to helping clients visualize, analyze, and interpret data using GIS technology. He has been instrumental in helping geographIT expand into the emergency management sector.
He is a frequent presenter and has received several accolades and awards for his work including the prestigious Esri Special Achievement in GIS Award, the Pennsylvania Environmental Council Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence, and an American Society of Civil Engineers Metro/Washington Honor Award.
Smart holds a bachelor’s degree in geography from Millersville University in Pennsylvania and is a certified geographic information systems professional (GISP). He is based in EBA’s Lancaster, Pennsylvania, office.
Bruce Stauffer will continue to serve as vice president for EBA’s geospatial technologies and asset management division until December 31, 2019, when he will retire after a 36-year career in the geospatial technology industry.
