  • Oregon Avenue Sewer Reconstruction Project Environmental Permitting and Compliance Services

EBA is providing consulting services to support the installation of 4,300 linear feet of sanitary sewer line using micro-tunneling, hand mining, and open-cut methods. EBA’s services are related to groundwater discharge from the construction activities into the District of Columbia Municipal Separate Stormwater Sewer System (MS4).

Tasks include preparing permit applications and securing final permits, performing discharge monitoring, preparing monthly discharge monitoring reports, and serving as a liaison with the District of Columbia Department of Energy & Environment for compliance reporting. Discharge monitoring includes sampling and analyzing groundwater at multiple discharge locations and verifying compliance with discharge limits for contaminants in accordance with MS4 permit requirements.

EBA is also providing materials sampling and testing services. Specifically, EBA is providing a certified testing technician to collect samples of concrete and soils during construction and testing the samples in EBA’s accredited laboratory.
